A Degree Is Only One Part of Career Readiness

Students spend years building their academic knowledge, but being academically qualified does not automatically mean being fully prepared for the job market. Employers evaluate much more than a degree or marks — they look at how clearly you understand your career direction, how effectively you communicate, how you present yourself, whether you can demonstrate practical experience, how you approach modern tools such as AI, and whether you are prepared to function in a professional environment.

This assessment gives you a structured view of those areas — so you can understand where you stand today and what you need to work on next.

The 8 Areas

What Does the Assessment Measure?

Your career readiness is evaluated across eight essential areas.

01

Career Direction & Job Fit

How clearly you understand your career direction, strengths, interests and the roles you should be targeting.

02

Job Search & Career Strategy

How effectively you approach the job search, identify relevant opportunities and build a practical career strategy.

03

Communication

Professional communication, clarity of expression, listening and the ability to communicate ideas effectively.

04

Resume & Interview Readiness

How prepared you are to present your qualifications, experience and value through resumes, interviews and professional interactions.

05

Projects & Practical Experience

Whether you can demonstrate practical application of your knowledge through projects, problem-solving and real evidence of what you can do.

06

AI & Modern Work

Your awareness and readiness to work in an environment increasingly shaped by AI, digital tools and changing workplace expectations.

07

Professional Growth & Personal Brand

Networking, professional visibility, self-development and your approach to continuously improving your career prospects.

08

Workplace Readiness & Progression

Readiness to enter a professional workplace, adapt to expectations, work well with others and build long-term career growth.

Scoring

Your Career Readiness Score

The assessment produces a score out of 100, calculated using weighted questions across all eight career-readiness areas. Not every question carries the same weight — different questions contribute different amounts based on their relevance to career readiness. The score provides a structured indication of your current level of career preparation.

90–100

Career Ready

You are among the top 10% of graduates.

80–90

Near Ready

A few focused improvements can significantly improve your employability.

60–80

Needs Improvement

You have potential but need structured guidance.

40–60

High Risk

Immediate action required to improve employability.

Below 40

Critical Zone

A focused development plan is essential.

Your score is a diagnostic indicator of career readiness — not a guarantee of employment, salary or selection.

Who Is This Assessment For?

Designed primarily for engineering students and graduates — across all disciplines — who want to understand how prepared they are for the modern job market. It is particularly relevant if you are:

  • ✓Preparing for internships
  • ✓Preparing for their first job

Don't Guess Where You Stand. Find Out.

Career preparation can be difficult to judge on your own. You may have a degree, certifications, projects or technical knowledge and still be unsure whether you are genuinely prepared to compete for the opportunities you want.

Instead of asking yourself "Am I ready for a job?" you can start with a more useful question:

"Where am I ready — and where do I still need to grow?"

Answer Based on Where You Are Today

There are no "perfect student" answers. Answer the questions honestly based on your current abilities, experience, behaviour and preparation — not based on what you think an employer wants to hear. The purpose of the assessment is to give you a more useful picture of your current career readiness.
